Shoreline Rentals – Stay In Luxury at Folkestone Harbour

Shoreline Folkestone is the place to stay and be a part of the Folkestone Harbour community.  There are two properties on offer to rent via BloomStays. The four-bed beach house sleeps up to eight people, and the two-bed sleeps four. This is a great place to soak up the sea and sun, but also enjoy the winter days in these cosy homes.  It’s easy to see the appeal to staying so close to the beach on a warm summer’s day.  But there’s so much going on in Folkestone throughout the year, that Shoreline is a prime location for any visitor.

wake up at shoreline

Shoreline is based at the western end of Folkestone Harbour, a short walk from the award-winning Lower Leas Coastal Park.  The Boardwalk connects you to Folkestone Harbour Arm and the renovated station and viaduct.  Sip coffee overlooking the ever-changing sea scenes, with France visible in the distance on a clear day.  Each property has balcony access and the four-bed has a roof-top terrace.

Every stay welcomes you with a hamper of local eats and treats.  There’s 9am to 5pm on site concierge to assist with your rental needs.  And whether your stay is for a weekend, or a week, there’s plenty to do, throughout the year.

calendar of events

It makes sense to stay at Shoreline when the weather is good.  The Mediterranean-inspired ceramic brick finish, with sun blazing down, could make you feel you’re somewhere far from the South Coast of the UK.  Folkestone Harbour puts on live music, fantastic food, free films and sporting events are also broadcast at The Goods Yard.  Dates not to miss are the Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever – usually in the last half of July – where thousands of people dress as Kate Bush and recreate the dance from her 1978 video along the Harbour Arm.  It’s something to watch, even better to join in.

Folkestone Air Display is always great viewed from Folkestone Harbour.  You could use the comfort of your balcony to watch the Red Arrows perform across the sea in front of you, or join the masses on the beach, The Leas or the Arm itself.

Tickets are usually issued for the biggest sporting events such as England football matches if we reach the Euros or World Cup.  Rest assured that most events are shown if time and weather permit throughout the summer.

autumn and winter festivals

As the summer draws in, the fun continues with Wünder Harbour – Folkestone Harbour’s Bavarian celebration.  Maybe this is your warm up to Octoberfest in Germany, or this might be as close as you get, but it’s certainly not to be missed.

Creative Folkestone’s Book Festival is always popular so book your rental well in advance.  Big names flock to the town to talk books, discuss ideas and chew over concepts with an equally erudite audience.

Folkestone’s Festive Marketplace runs each weekend from mid-November to Christmas Eve.  There’s late night shopping on Friday evenings, and fun-packed weekends of festive films, live music, choirs, performances and huts full of artisan food and gifts.  It’s a unique place to shop for gifts for everyone, pets included.

new year, new experiences

As the old year moves out, and the new comes in, there are still wonderful experiences to be had at Shoreline.  If you are looking for a weekend rest to blow the cobwebs away, or to celebrate all the new years into Spring, then Folkestone is the place to come.  There are cosy feasts to be had, and stunning seas to be experienced from the warmth of your tripple-glazed accommodation.
