shoreline – the place to live

Shoreline, the first residential development by Folkestone Harbour & Seafront Development Company, is open.  The Sunday Times states that Folkestone is one of the best places to live in Britain in 2023.  Now Shoreline is open for viewing, prospective buyers can see the Penthouses, Beach Houses, Duplexes and Apartments. Sales Manager Rachel Banks-Nash talks to Folkelife about what’s on offer and why Shoreline is the place to buy in 2024.

“I’m from Folkestone but have been working in different areas of property across the world for the past 30 years.  When I heard about the new development on the Seafront it raised my curiosity.  I decided to carry out some research for my own interest; what I was seeing was exciting.  This building is cleverly designed and fits in so well with the period statement of Marine Crescent behind it.”

The Folkestone Harbour & Seafront Development Company have been investing in the town for many years.  The Harbour renovations are testament to the team’s work in creating a community that lives and works in and for Folkestone.

“The town has changed so much since I was growing up here.  I walked down The Old High Street and thought ‘this is amazing!’  There’s a feel to Folkestone that you don’t get with other seaside towns.  It seems that people want to live here, not just because of the benefits of living close to the sea and beach but because of the community and opportunities there are here, particularly for those who are more creative.

“We have an extensive inquiry list which we are in the process of contacting. Everyone we’ve spoken to so far is very excited about the development and all that it has to offer. The views from Shoreline are spectacular, and yes, the obvious view is of the sea, which changes on a daily basis.  When the sun is out, the Folkestone Harbour coastline is like the South of France!  You can look at the White Cliffs to the east, or views of the Romney Marsh on the west.

Folkestone Harbour & seafront Development

Shoreline is the first residential building in the Folkestone Harbour and Seafront Development Company plan for the coastline in Folkestone.  The Company has been responsible for renovating and animating the Harbour Arm, one of the most visited food and entertainment venues in Kent.  Architects ACME and Jenner (contractors) ltd have been instrumental in their professional contributions to the design, building and renovating of the Harbour area.
