Folkestone Festive Harbour Marketplace opens on Friday 14th November at 4pm for the Switch On, and then every Friday and Saturday from 11am to 7pm, and every Sunday from 11am to 6pm. From Monday 22nd December to Christmas Eve, the Festive Marketplace will be open from 11am to 6pm. There’s a lot for people to enjoy: artwork, food and drink, free family films and live music. Folkelife gives you a rundown of what you can find in the home and garden ware section:
my pottery shed
Deryl Gillam Jones is known to some for his hockey skills, and known to many others for his creative flare when it comes to ceramics. His seascape pottery embodies the feel of the waves that are around us. He has captured the many blues and greens of the sea in his pottery. All his wares are dishwasher/microwave and oven safe. He has bird feeders for outdoors and wonderfully spiky flower pots.
country clobber
If you’ve wondered where to get a decent selection of garden ornaments, here is the place. There’s a wealth of chimes, animals, flowers and patterned items that you are sure to find something for everyone, whether they have a garden or not.

What goes on in the mind of Nathan Trustam is anyone’s guess, but the creations that come from his workshop are full of fun and are definitely unique. He creates lamps from anything that will stand still long enough. If you have a Star Wars fan, or lover of old cameras, you will be sure to find something in this hut that you never knew you were looking for.
