Festive Harbour marketplace – Fashion
The Festive Harbour Marketplace opens from 14th November for the big Switch On, then every Friday and Saturday from 11am to 7pm, and every Sunday from 11am to 6pm. From Monday 22nd to Wednesday 24th December, the Festive Marketplace is open from 11am to 6pm. There are free festive movies for the family to enjoy in The Goods Yard, live music and special events happening across the season. This year the Marketplace has a wonderful collection of clothes, vintage and original, something to suit everyone. Folkelife thought a guide would be useful.
dicky smiles
If you haven’t visited Dicky’s hut yet then now is the time. You choose your artwork, created by Aaron, and it is printed straight onto the garment of your choice. There are hoodies and tees to choose from, and printed beanies and socks already made. These artworks are for the fun and frivolous big or small child in your life.
red one design
Red One Design has been a regular at the Folkestone Marketplace since it opened during Covid. Every item they create is a one-off, unique design due to the eco-friendly ice-dying technique used. It’s not tie-dye. This is far more environmentally conscious.
beach bums
Back for the Festive Season, Beach Bums brings you clothing to surf by, or just relax, if the surf is looking a bit chilly. These guys are stalwarts of Folkestone Harbour, running Hulas and the Adventure Golf throughout the year. Now back, in their original form, they offer you the best clothing.
Odette Handmade
In a hut with jewellery and clothing (and ceramics too) you can find a beautiful selection of vintage items that will suit that certain someone.
