Folkestone Harbour Festive MarketPlace 

The Festive Harbour Marketplace opens on 14th November 2025 at 4pm for its wonderful run up to Christmas. The lights switch on, and the fun begins.  From then, every Friday and Saturday it will be open from 11am to 7pm, and on Sundays from 11am to 6pm.  In the week running up to the Big Day, everyone will be open from 11am to 6pm for you to really get into the Christmas Spirit.

You will find the marketplace by following the starry lights on top of the huge Christmas Tree set right in the middle.  It’s a magical setting with festive music, activities, free films for the family, mulled wine and the best, original, locally made gifts you can find.

Nestled cosily in between The Goods Yard and Harbourside, after you’ve shopped for your unique gifts you can choose one of our new indoor restaurants to sit in, warm up and enjoy delicious food.

Harbour Grotto

The Harbour Grotto returns this year, opening from Friday 5th, every weekend to Christmas, from 10.30am to 7pm.  Based in Customs House there’s a wonderful harbour-themed grotto for the children (big and small) to explore.  Created by artist Sally Hogarth, come and discover what’s inside!  Booking is essential.
