Entertainment
What’s on in Folkestone? Find out at the Quarterhouse, The Tower Theatre and Leas Cliff Hall. These venues bring the big names to Folkestone such as Russell Brand, Sir Ian McKellen and live broadcasts from the Royal Opera House and National Theatre, and also support local and national theatre companies. Follow our Folkestone Family Trail to discover the whole town, from East to West. There’s a summer of sport and films on the Big Screen on the Harbour Arm and live music on weekly across our other venues such as The Chambers, the Harbour Arm and Space 7 Gallery. We also have our award-winning community radio station, Academy FM Folkestone!
Directors Jessica Hynes and Max Barron have made fantastic films using Folkestone as the backdrop. There’s fantastic comedy at our Folkestone Comedy Club, run by Dan Atkinson and friends.
In the winter months we have some warm and cosy entertainment for you. The Living Advent Calendar has live performances behind 24 doors around the town. There’s Early and New Music concerts at the Customs House on the Harbour Arm. The Folkestone Book Festival brings Booker Prize winning authors to our town.
